Strategic Plan for AELF Success
2026 – 2028
The Alpha Educational & Leadership Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing the educational, leadership, entrepreneurial, and health development of young males in Tallahassee, Florida. This public plan summarizes our governance, tiered academies, partnerships, fiscal stewardship, and roadmap for growth through 2028.
Institutional Governance & Operational Framework
The strategic efficacy of the Alpha Educational & Leadership Foundation (AELF), Inc. is anchored in the meticulous synchronization between the Foundation and the Gamma Mu Lambda (GML) Chapter. This collaborative governance model is a structural safeguard that ensures long-term fiscal sustainability and operational agility.
To mitigate vendor-related risks and stabilize the organizational roadmap, AELF has institutionalized rigorous planning cycles. Key sessions on December 17, 2025 and February 12, 2026 established the current programmatic baseline. The Board — led by Executive Director Gregory J. Harris and Chairman Al Dennis — performs peer-reviewed evaluations so every expenditure and curriculum adjustment is backed by strategic consensus.
A primary directive for 2027–2028 is the proactive integration of College Brothers from the Beta Nu and Iota Delta chapters into logistical and data-management frameworks — cultivating a leadership pipeline that protects mission continuity and organizational memory.

Tiered Educational Programmatic Excellence
Our Longitudinal Mentorship model provides age-appropriate, sequential guidance from third grade through high school graduation — preventing the "mentorship gap" found in standard youth programs.
Alpha Rise Academy
Grades 3 – 5
Foundation building in literacy, character, and confidence for our youngest scholars.
Alpha Leadership Program for Higher Achievement
Grades 6 – 8
Transitional leadership development, public speaking, and academic rigor for middle school.
Alpha Millennium Academy
Grades 9 – 12
Collegiate and professional preparation, scholarship pathways, and career mentorship.
2026 Phase 1 Curriculum
Focused on Cyber-Security & Safety, STEM Day at Florida A&M University (FAMU), and community ethics via N.O.B.L.E. (National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives).
Engagement Metrics
Peak engagement of 26 students with a consistent average of 23 scholars per session. Alpha Millennium Academy achieved record-high enrollment, validating our high school retention strategies.
Partnerships & the Teacher-Ambassador Model
Florida A&M University
Primary host for orientations and STEM immersion.
City of Tallahassee
Municipal recognition via Mayoral Proclamations.
N.O.B.L.E. / Crime Solvers
Professional mentorship in ethics and public safety.
Teacher Mini-Grant Initiative
Fall 2026 Pilot
A strategic pilot will award $350 grants to 10 K–12 teachers within Leon County for classroom supplies, technology, and curriculum enhancement. By supporting educators, AELF transforms them into Program Ambassadors — a decentralized recruitment network that ensures a steady pipeline of eligible young males.
Resource Development & Transparency
AELF prioritizes financial transparency and a Social Return on Investment (SROI) lens — quantifying volunteer labor and modernizing our digital giving infrastructure to demonstrate professional-grade fiscal management.
Modernized Fundraising
Adoption of Zeffy, Apple Pay, and Google Pay streamlined the donor experience. The 2025 Giving Tuesday campaign raised $12,954.06, significantly exceeding the $10,000 target.
CAPEX vs. OPEX Strategy
The 80th Anniversary Scholarship Ball generated $24,105 against $26,604 in expenses. The $2,499 variance reflects a long-term asset acquisition — reusable candelabras, signage, and Egyptian busts — that lowers OPEX for all future galas.
Fiscal Stability Snapshot (April 13, 2026)
Future Strategic Roadmap: 2027 – 2028
Immediate Transitional Phases
Progress through 2026 Phase 2 (June/July) and Phase 3 (August), centered on the annual Back-to-School Backpack Drive to maintain year-round engagement.
An Evening of Alpha Prestige (Spring 2027)
Brand rejuvenation: Saturday evening, 8:30 PM start; tables reduced from 10 to 8 guests at a $600 price point; hybrid Band/DJ; complimentary valet detailed in invitations; payment plans for table purchases.
Scaling Competitive Standards
Institutionalize stricter critical scoring guidelines for oratorical contests — preserving meritocratic integrity and eliminating the fiscal risk of tied scholarship awards.
Data Integrity & Expansion
By 2028, fully institutionalize digital sign-in and data tracking managed by College Brothers, supporting expansion of the Teacher Mini-Grant program across Leon County.
"Through rigorous governance, tiered longitudinal mentorship, and sophisticated fiscal management, AELF is firmly positioned as the premier transformative force for young males in the Tallahassee region through 2028."
